ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend baseball team will take on Wells for the first time in program history in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) doubleheader on Thursday, April 25. Game times are 2 and 5 p.m.

* The Lions split a doubleheader at Alfred State on Tuesday
* Daniel Boehme (Peters Township, PA /Seton LaSalle) led Behrend in game one with three hits and two runs scored, while Silvio Ionadi (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) drove in two runs
* Senior Jeff Zick (Moon, PA/Our Lady of Sacred Heart) tossed five shutout innings, giving up four hits and striking out six to earn his fifth win of the season

* As a team, Behrend leads the AMCC in average (.337), slugging (.499), RBIs (251), home runs (19), triples (17), hits (350), and runs (288)

* Wells enters Thursday's matchup with a 17-13 overall record and 4-6 record in AMCC play, defeating Alfred (35-0) in its last game on Monday
* Shortstop Mark Maybee finished with a game-high four hits and six RBIs against the Saxons. Nick Manee threw four shutout innings, only allowing two hits and striking out four
* Sophomore Jacobi James leads the team in batting average (.415) and hits (39), while Max Odum has drove in a team-high 28 runs
* On the mound, Manee, Mike Nascimento, and Mason Smith have all recorded three wins. Zack Cronk has tallied a 2.37 ERA in 15 relief appearances so far this year
