HAMBURG, N.Y. – Alfred University claimed a 2-0 victory over Hilbert College in women's soccer this afternoon.  The Hawks drop to 0-3 while the Saxons earned their first win after three starts.

Hilbert had a few chances early in the first half, but they weren't able to finish.  Both teams went to intermission knotted at 0-0.

Alfred pecked away at the Hawks and scored the game winner in the 53rd minute off a restart kick.  The Saxons padded their lead ten minutes later and took the win.

Jenna Castricone was credited with her first double-digit save performance of the season.  She faced 32 shots and made 14 saves. 

Hilbert took six first half shots but only one in the second period while the visitors put up balanced numbers each half (18/14).

The Hawks return to action this weekend when they travel to Chatham University for a 2pm contest in Pittsburgh.
