Women’s Soccer Makes it Six in a Row

Kelsey Maley GREENSBURG, Pa. – The College of Wooster women's soccer team picked up its sixth consecutive win of the season after a 4-1 win against the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg on Saturday.

It was also the second straight game where senior Naomi Mann found the back of the net twice. She will make a strong case for North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week with four goals and one assist across two games for the Scots.

This past week's NCAC Athlete of the Week, Grace Gascoigne, opened scoring in the ninth minute thanks to one of Hallie Krzys's two assists on the day.

Wooster then scored three goals in a span of about 11 minutes to conclude the first half. Sophomore Julia Struck scored her second goal of the year thanks to an assist from senior Lindsey Moore.

Mann then scored her goals back-to-back in the 33rd and 37th minutes. Krzys assisted on the first, and sophomore Kelsey Maley assisted on the second.

Wooster went up 4-0 at halftime, and the only other goal in the game occur off the foot of Sarah Tonkovich of Pitt-Greensburg in the 66th minute.

Mann skyrockets to the top of the team lead with 14 points and six goals. Krzys and Gascoigne follow with eight and seven points, respectively. Maley's assist was her first of the year.

Sophomore Kameryn Nelson got the win, making three saves in 90 minutes. Wooster outshot the Bobcats 16-6.

The Scots travel to Heidelberg University on Wednesday.
