GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. – The Hilbert Women's Cross Country team earned the program's first-ever team victory today at the Daniel Walker Invitational hosted by Buffalo State College at Beaver Island State Park.

Hilbert's first-year runner Maddie Fusco clipped the finish line three minutes ahead of the second fastest female runner this morning.  Fusco became the first Hilbert cross country runner to claim the individual champion medal at the Daniel Walker Invite.

The Hilbert women combined for a race-low 24 points, finishing eight points better than second place Medaille College
