ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend (10-4) remained undefeated in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action tonight after they played to a 7-1 home win over the win-less Hilbert in men's soccer.

The Hawks (0-6) trailed early once the Lions (5-0) scored a pair of quick goals against senior Ryan Valentine.  

Caleb Denton posted his first career goal at 23:28 making it a one-goal game miday through the first half.  The junior midfielder was on the receiving end of the goalie clearance kick and Denton one-touched a shot from 40 feet out past the Lions' keeper.

Behrend responded with two more makers before intermission to building a 4-1 lead and extended their hold into the second half.

Valentine was credited with his 5th double figure saves game.  The Lions let lose 25 shots and Hilbert's keeper collected 12 saves.

Gabriel Esparza's header shot in the 47th minute ended up counting as Hilbert's second shot on goal.

The Hawks (0-12) return to action this weekend when they host Mount Aloysius (11-2-1, 4-1) October 14 at 1pm in Hamburg.
