GREENSBORO, N.C. – Hilbert survived the opening quarter onslaught of shots by Greensboro then rallied in the second half by outscoring the Pride, but ran out of time as they slipped in their final game during spring break.

Joshua Schindler and James Duffy each scored a pair of goals and assisted on another as Hilbert lost to Greeensboro 7-6 in men's lacrosse this afternoon.

Anthony Cappola and Trevor Kuhnlein found the back of the net posting all six goals.  Edward Mathias and Kuhnlein added two more assists.

Joseph Stevenson collected 10 saves collecting his second double-digit performance.

Greensboro outshot the Hawks 15-4 in the first quarter as they built a 4-1 lead. The Pride added one more score before half time and then Hilbert turned up their offensive attack after the break.

Greensboro pegged another score midway through the third quarter stretching their lead to 6-1.

Cappola and Kuhnlein (man-up) scored 120 seconds apart slicing the margin to three and Schindler scored with :05 on the game clock before the fourth quarter began.

The Pride tallied again early in the final period while Hilbert finished the game on a roll.  Duffy manufactured a pair of goals but the clock was not on the Hawks side as they dropped to 1-2 overall.

Travis Hicks hustled to six ground balls and Grant Stockman won all four of Hilbert's face-offs.

The Hawks return to action Wednesday, March 21 when they host Alfred State.  Stay tuned for site location since the varsity grass field in Hamburg is currently covered in snow.
