KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – As they continue to find their way, the Hilbert College volleyball team battled in two contests today at the Keuka College Invitational Tournament. 

The Hawks challenged Hartwick but fell in straight sets (25-16, 25-20, 25-19) and then dropped consecutive sets to the hosts (25-14, 25-18, 25-19) in a 3pm game.

Hilbert had a balanced offensive attack with four different Hawks reaching for three or more kills against Hartwick.  Torianna LeWand and Natassia West picked up four kills while Ashley Repine and Maegann Mein added three kills apiece.

The Hawks covered the court defensively earning 50 digs and Repine led all players with a game-high 14 ups.

Jasmine Branch (8) and Sara Trzepkowski (6) combined for most of the Hawks' 19 assists.

In the second game against Keuka, LeWand led with six kills and 12 digs.  Repine posted four service aces and Trzepkowski finished with eight assists.

Hilbert (0-3) hosts their home opener Tuesday, September 5 when they welcome Houghton College to the Hafner Recreation Center for a 7pm start.  Out of town fans can view the game on free high definition streaming video.
