HAMBURG, N.Y. – Keuka College remained the only undefeated team in the NEAC league after they earned a 25-6 victory over Hilbert College in women's lacrosse this afternoon.

After the game started and the first ball got stuck in the wet grass, the Wolves attacked the cage with boundless energy.  They scored three quick goals in the first five minutes of action before Brooklynn Gormel's free position shot got the Hawks on the scoreboard at 22:32.

Keuka went on a 13-0 run building a 16-1 lead with 4:32 left in the first half.

Aaryonah Vaughn scored her 18th goal with just over three minutes till the break but the green and white posted two more hits by intermission taking an 18-2 lead to their benches.

The Wolves did not gear down in the second half as they went on another 6-goal run.

The Hawks found more success during the final 13 minutes of the game and posted four goals spaced over 11 minutes.

Brooklynn Gormel scored both her goals off free position shots.  Aaryonah Vaughn netted twice in the open field beating the opposing team's goalie off the run.

Alyssa Siracuse earned her first goal of her collegiate career while Josephine Ban netted a man-up goal late in the game.

Caitlyn Eleczko took the loss after 30 minutes of play in goal.  Alayna DeFazio made her first appearance in the cage and was credited with four saves in the second half.

Natassia West caused two turnovers and DeFazio led with five ground balls, split between her time in the crease or as a defender.

The Hawks return to action tomorrow afternoon when they host their final game of the 2018 season against Wells College at 3:30 pm.  Prior to the first draw control, the women's lacrosse team and coaches will honor their three seniors – Stephanie Cartonia, Brooklynn Gormel and Victoria Santos.
