AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR APRIL 7-13, 2025
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's lacrosse, men's tennis and baseball, and women's softball for the period running from April 7-13, 2025.

Baseball (Player): PS-Altoona OF Zach Ingold had a big week at the plate in doubleheaders against AMCC opponents Alfred State and Pitt-Bradford. Against Alfred State last Monday, he went 4-for-6 with a home run, an RBI, a walk, and a run scored. On the road Sunday, in a split with Pitt-Bradford, the junior hit 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, two walks, a double, and two runs scored. On the week, Ingold hit .636 (7-for-11) with four RBI, three walks, three runs scored, two home runs, and two doubles while recording a 1.364 sluggling percentage.
Baseball (Pitcher): Alfred State SR Ryan Bailey picked up his fourth win of the season against Penn-State Altoona last Monday. Bailey pitched a complete 7.0 inning game scattering one run over five hits, while tallying 15 strikeouts (19.29 k/9 average).
Softball (Player): PS-Behrend 3B Jocelyn McNany recorded a hit in all six games last week, including two or more hits in five of the six games. She went 12-for-20, hitting .600 to go with a 1.100 slugging percentage. She smacked five doubles, one triple and her fifth home run of the season while scoring seven runs, driving in five runs and stealing a pair of bases.
Softball (Pitcher): Carlow FR Anna Schumacher went 2-0 in the cirlce to go along with a save on the week, while not allowing a run in 8.1 innings of work. She struck out three of Hilbert's five batters she faced to keep the game tied, allowing the Celtics to win in a 4-3 walk-off.
Men's Lacrosse (Offensive): Hilbert A Joey DiMaria was dominant in the Hawks' AMCC road shutout (16-0) victory over La Roche. He finished the game with seven goals and one assist. His seven goals came on 15 shots for a 46.7% shooting percentage. The senior attack leads the Hawks in goals (23) and points (29).
Men's Lacrosse (Defensive): Hilbert GK Griffin Miller posted the first shutout for the Hawks since 2023. Miller stopped eight shots, including a pair of one-on-one breakaways, late in the game to preserve the shutout. Miller currently ranks fifth in the country in save percentage at 63.6% and is allowing fewer than eight goals per game (7.95).
Women's Lacrosse (Offensive): Alfred State M Abigail Lussier led the Pioneers to a 1-1 week. She tallied 10 goals, two assists, five ground balls, and seven draw controls across two games. She opened the week with a seven goal two assist game against Hilbert. She followed that performance with a hat trick against Mt. Aloysius.
Women's Lacrosse (Defensive): La Roche M Kiki Nemcek once again was all over the field for the Redhawks in their 2-0 week. In a victory over Mount Aloysius on Thursday, Nemcek scooped up a game high eight ground balls, caused two turnovers and added a pair of goals. She followed that performance in Saturday's win over Hilbert, with seven ground balls, four caused turnovers, eight draw controls and four more goals. For the week, Nemcek had six goals, 15 ground balls, eight draw controls and caused six turnovers.
Men's Tennis: PS-Behrend FR Graham Louis was undefeated in both singles and doubles action this past weekend. He only allowed two set points in all three singles matches. Louis tallied two wins at No. 3 singles and another at No. 4. He competed at No. 1 doubles, winning all three matches by a score of 6-2.
