Wells College will become the tenth full member of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) in 2023-24. The Express are currently members of the United East Conference.
“The decision to accept Wells as a full member of the AMCC was an easy one for our presidents and chancellors,” said commissioner Donna Ledwin. “As affiliate members in men’s and women’s swimming and diving and men’s volleyball, they already have established relationships with a majority of our member institutions. They bring a menu of sports that work well with what we already sponsor as well as ones we have plans to grow. And they have a well-established leadership team that understands the Div. III philosophy and what that means in terms of educating the whole student. This is most certainly a mutually beneficial decision.”
As full NCAA Division III members, the Express will be immediately eligible for all AMCC privileges when they begin their membership in Fall 2023.
