AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR SEPTEMBER 19-25, 2022
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's soccer, cross country, tennis, men's golf, and women's volleyball for the period running from September 19-25, 2022.

Men's Cross Country: Alfred State SR Gavin Bathgate recorded his best finish and time of season. Bathgate finsihed the Harry F. Anderson Invitational, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan, in 25:54.2. He came in the 13th place out of 174 runners in the 8K race.
Women's Cross Country: Hilbert JR Maddie Fusco finished in a solid 54th place in a race with a number of division 1, 2 and high level 3 runners at the Roberts Wesleyan Harry F. Anderson Invitational. She ran a personal best 20:25 for 5k.
Men's Tennis: Pitt-Greensburg JR Deven Summers went undefeated in singles and doubles play to start the season against Pitt-Bradford on Sunday. Summers has moved into the No. 1 spot for singles and is continuing in the No. 1 pairing for doubles this season.
Women's Tennis: Pitt-Greensurg JR Abby Rossman broke the program record for career doubles wins over the weekend. Rosman went 2-0 (in both singles and doubles) on the weekend with one of those wins being an AMCC win. Rosman has not dropped a doubles match with any partner yet this season.
Men's Soccer (Offensive): Hilbert F Carter Burke scored a quality free kick to open the scoring against Medaille. He followed that up with two goals (including the game-winner) and an assist against Wells College to finish the week with seven points in two games (3 goals 1 assist).
Men's Soccer (Defensive): Pitt-Greensburg D Adam Yoder was part of a back line that gave up just one goal in two games, leading the Bobcats to a 2-0 week. He also scored his first career goal against Wilson on Saturday.
Women's Volleyball (Offensive): Pitt-Bradford S Tabitha Walker led Pitt-Bradford to two dominating wins during their home trimatch over the weekend. She tallied 40 assists in a four-set victory over Fredonia and then added 29 more in a sweep of Wells. She averaged 9.86 assists per set for the event. Walker also added 16 digs, three kills, two service aces and three total blocks on the day, while hitting at a .375 clip.
Women's Volleyball (Defensive): PS-Altoona OH Lydia Mock totaled a team-high 26 digs (5.2 digs per set) in the Lions' five-set loss to Gettysburg at home last Wednesday night. She also added 13 kills, two service aces and an assist on the day.
Women's Soccer (Offensive): Pitt-Greensburg F Ashley Lucas had her best week of the season, scoring five goals and recording two assists for a total of 11 points on the week for the Bobcats. Lucas scored two goals in back-to-back games against Geneva and John Carroll, including an assist against Geneva. Lucas also tallied the game-winner against John Carroll. She added her fifth goal of the week in a weekend battle against Carlow to help lead the Bobcats to a 3-0 record on the week.
Women's Soccer (Defensive): Pitt-Greensburg D Julia Rowe started three games in the week for Pitt-Greensburg and played the full 90 in two of the three games. Rowe was part of a back line that gave up just two goals as the Bobcats had a goal differential of +11.
