AMCC COACHES NAMED TO NCAA SPORT COMMITTEES

The AMCC recently saw three current head coaches named to multiple NCAA committees. Medaille College head women's bowling coach Jeff Walsh has been named to the NCAA Women's Bowling Committee, Mount Aloysius College head women's soccer coach Adam Sprague has been named to the NCAA D3 Women's Soccer Committee, while Pitt-Bradford head sofbtall coach Tina Phillips will serve on the Softball Rules Committee.

Sport committee members also serve on the regional advisory committees (RACs), oversee selections to national championships and serve as the NCAA representative during preliminary-round competition and championship finals. These individuals will assist in governing each sport and are responsible for administering their respective championships, including establishing brackets and selecting teams to fill them.

NCAA Rules Committees cover the following situations: 1. On the competition area (e.g., field, court, etc.); 2. When game officials are present; and 3. When the competition is between two teams.

Walsh is in his first year as head coach of the Medaille women's bowling team following five seasons with the program including two as the Associate Head Coach.

Sprague was named the Associate Head Soccer Coach at Mount Aloysius in July 2019. He was elevated to Co-Head Men's and Women's Soccer Coach, following the 2019 season.

Phillips is in her 18th season as the head softball coach at Pitt-Bradford. In addition to her role on the diamond, she also serves as assistant athletic director, senior woman administrator and compliance coordinator.
