AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR NOVEMBER 25-DECEMBER 1

The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's and women's basketball for the period running from November 25 - December 1, 2019.

Women's Basketball: Pitt-Greensburg G/F Nadege Durand posted a double-double in both of Pitt-Greensburg's games this past week against Franciscan and Penn State Behrend. Against Franciscan, Durand scored 24 points, grabbed 11 boards, and shot 71.4% (10-of-14) from the floor in 29 minutes of action. The junior then followed her double-double against the Barons with 12 points and 12 boards against Behrend. After leading the conference in rebounding last season, Durand has continued her prowess on the boards leading the conference in rebounding (11.0) and has recorded a double-double in five of the seven games so far this season. 

Men's Basketball: Hilbert G Hunter Martineau totaled 46 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished 16 assists in Hilbert's 81-78 AMCC win at Pitt-Bradford November 26 and their come-from behind, 85-77 overtime win at Elmira November 30. Martineau averaged 23 points, 7.5 rebounds and eight assists per game with an incredible +8.0 assist to turnover ratio. He found his shooting touch, hitting 13-of-18 from the field (.722) and 19-of-21 at the foul line (.905) The Orlando, Fla native put the Hawks on his back and carried them in their overtime win at Elmira when he tossed in a career-high 32 points (10-12 FG, 12-13 FT), finishing with 11 assists without a turnover in the 45 minute game. His nine rebounds fell one short of posting his second triple double in a one-week period. He continues to lead the AMCC in assists per game, jumping to 8.0 per game currently, while ranking 9th in the AMCC in scoring and 12th in rebounding.
