HILBERT MEN'S BASKETBALL ASSISTS WITH COMMUNITY CLEAN UP

For the seventh consecutive year, the Hilbert College men's basketball team participated in the Adopt-a-Highway Program’s clean-up of the neighborhoods surrounding campus. The basketball team worked alongside 25 volunteers from the college’s Criminal Justice/Forensic Science Association on the clean-up initiative on September 21st.

The Association manages a two-mile stretch of South Park Avenue and Sowles Road near the west entrance to campus.  Professors Mary Ann Hobar, Carraugh Reilly-Nowak, and Martin Floss led this year’s project.

Adopt a Highway Litter Removal Service of America (AAHLRSA) was founded by Teryl Macia, a visionary with a background in public relations, who saw an opportunity to help companies build and grow their brands while providing support with the cleaning of roadways and the well-being of the environment. Since its inception, AAHLRSA has cleaned millions of miles of US roadways.
