PITT-BRADFORD HOSTS SPECIAL OLYMPIC SWIM MEET

PITT-BRADFORD HOSTS SPECIAL OLYMPIC SWIM MEET

On Friday, March 8, the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford hosted the Special Olympics Swim Meet at the Paul C. Duke Aquatics Center.

Spearheaded by head swim coach Doug Alban and his teams, along with the help of countless volunteers, all in attendance enjoyed a wonderful day.

McKean County Special Olympics had been practicing at the Pitt-Bradford pool for the past eight weeks under the tutelage of the college swim team.

Special Olympics chapters from four different counties competed: McKean, Elk, Warren and Potter.

Pitt-Bradford student-athletes, students and members of the community came out to help run the event.

The athletes were competing for spots at the Special Olympics Pennsylvania State Games, which are held June 6-8 at Penn State.
