The Penn State Altoona women's basketball program continued an annual fundraising tradition this winter, as the team and its coaching staff helped raise money to benefit the fight against breast cancer.

Over the course of several weeks, Penn State Altoona's players and coaches sold special pink t-shirts with a design that urged wearers to "Fight Like A Lady Lion For A Cure." All proceeds from the t-shirt sales were donated to the UPMC Altoona Foundation, which collects monetary gifts on behalf of the hospital. Penn State Altoona's donation, which was accepted by UPMC Altoona Foundation President Tim Balconi during a pregame ceremony on Wednesday, February 15 in the Adler Gym, will go toward the hospital's breast cancer awareness, prevention, and treatment efforts.

During the game, the Penn State Altoona women's basketball players donned special pink uniforms in a display of support for the fight against breast cancer.
